Exclusive 16-Bit USB 2.0 Controller
Breaking through today’s 8-bit barrier, Dura Micro offers a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 controller featuring an exclusive 16-bit RISC processor that boosts performance by as much as 22%. Full compliance with the USB 2.0 specification and USB 2.0 certification are retained.
Available with some USB 2.0 models and all models equipped with Hybrid technology.
AES-128 Hardware Data Encryption
AES (Advanced Encryption Standard)-128 has been approved by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as a Federal Information Processing (FIPs) cryptographic standard.
AES-128 requires no software to install; it works with any computer; and unlike software-based encryption, there is no noticeable slow-down in drive performance.
Available with Hybrid Levels III & IV.
Password Security
Today's consumers want greater security in all aspects of their lives, but perhaps no more so than when it comes to their personal information. Employing U.S. Government-approved security algorithm SHA-256, our Password Security feature offers advanced protection with a simple-to-use interface.
The hash function used to encrypt the user's password is one-way only, so it is extremely difficult to decrypt, making Password Security very secure. The hash value is stored on the Drive itself, not the user's computer. Therefore, the Drive is always secure no matter what computer it is connect to. The user can enable or disable Password Security at any time without affecting the stored data.
Nomad Mobile Desktop
Nomad Mobile Desktop is a powerful, ready-to-use feature that let's the user run a suite of bundled software right from the Drive—no computer installation is required.
If Nomad is activated, the Mobile Desktop appears on screen when the Drive mounts to the system. It will disappear if the user clicks on another part of the screen or after a period of inactivity. To view the Mobile Desktop at any time the user simply clicks the Nomad icon in the Windows Taskbar or Mac Desktop.
Nomad MD is a component of Hybrid Levels II and above.

Developed exclusively for PushButton-equipped Drives, Regen is the software behind PushButton Backup and Sync. Regen can also be used as a stand-alone application the user can launch from the Mobile Desktop at any time.
- OpenOffice.org
OpenOffice.org is an office suite from Sun Microsystems. It includes a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation program, vector graphics editor, and database component. OpenOffice.org is compatible with Microsoft Office and other office suites.

Nomad also comes with several utilities to quickly access stored files, track disk usage, and manage settings and Password Security.
PushButton™ Backup
PushButton Backup is an easy and convenient way to routinely backup important files simply by pressing the PushButton on the front of the Drive. Not only does PushButton Backup make backups easier and more convenient, but since you’re backing up your data to a hi-performance hard drive—as opposed to say, tape or optical media—backups are also much faster.
PushButton Backup is available as a stand-alone feature (using Retrospect™ Express software) or as part of any Hybrid suite (using Regen Backup software).
Synchronization (Sync)
Many people today work on multiple computers in multiple locations (office, home, on the road). Dura Micro's Sync feature is the easy way to keep those computers, well, in sync, while also providing the added security of data redundancy.
The application smartly searches for modified files on all volumes marked for synchronization, and then updates every volume with the latest versions of each file, no matter which volume it happens to be on.
Dura Micro's Sync feature frees the user from the burden of keeping track of modified files and forever eliminates the tedium of manually copying those files between volumes. By providing both data management and data backup, Synchronization is a feature today's professionals won't want to be without.
At a function of Regen, Sync is available as part of any Hybrid suite.
Secure Graphical Login
With Secure Graphical Login the user inputs their password using an on-screen keypad. There are no key strokes for hackers to track. And the key positions change at every login so mouse movements cannot be trended.
Available with Hybrid Level III & IV.
Vista ReadyBoost Support (Flash Drives)
Attach a Dura Micro Flash Drive to a PC at any time to enhance the performance of Windows Vista. Up to 4 GB of the Flash Drives capacity can be used for caching as a means of boosting the speeds of random disk reads. Performance is typically 80-100 times faster than random reads from the internal hard drive.
Available with Hybrid Level III & IV on Dura Micro Flash Drives.
